Hi Srini Rao - My company is not licensed for the requisition module, so I can't look at the RQ500 on my system for reference, so it's difficult to guess the issue with the information you provided. However, it looks like it's expecting a value to be in your *WS file (or maybe in your work file configuration) that it's not finding in your code.

Here are some questions that may help us point you in the right direction:
- Did you include the entire compile error in your post, or is there more to it?  If there is more, please or attach the entire .err file.
- Are you modifying the RQ500, or is this a custom program?
- If you comment out the lines of code you posted, does the program compile?  I'm wondering if the issue is related to these lines or if it might live elsewhere.

Maybe someone with RQ experience will chime in too...

I think, i might be missing some thing. I did looked the lawson API documentation and it does not adding any WS* or work file variables.

1. I'm attaching the full compile list.
2. It's custom program. I cloned the RQ500 and try to change add same lines in RQ500 and it worked.
3. If I comment the lines I mentioned it does get compile and works as it's designed.

Is there a chance you can dump the definition for the REQHEADER workfile for your custom program, and add it as an attachment?

From the command line:  "metadumpwrk {prodline} {programcode} REQHEADER"

Oops - sorry. I was thinking work file rather than database file.   Never mind...

Did it compile before you added those lines?

I noticed one thing - I think you need to put the "CMTRQH-TYPE" assignment before the 900-CREATE call.  This may or may not be your immediate problem, but I think it is a problem.

Do you happen to have a copy of the "Doc for Developers: Lawson 4GL Application Program Interfaces" document?  It has a nice section relating to comment attachment processing.  If you don't have it, I'd suggest you get a copy from the Infor Documentation Library.  It is very helpful for this.

Also, you might check to see if RQ500WS includes "WS-WORK-FILE-STATUS", and if it does, make sure you include it (and any redefines, etc) in your program.

When you cloned the RQ500, did you go into workdef and change the names of the workfiles that RQ500 uses natively. The cloning changes the workfile name in the COBOL code but not in workdef. There is an executable that can be used to globally change the workdef names but at the moment I can't remember it.

However you can manually change them to reference the new program name and that should(hopefully) solve your problem.

WS-WORK-FILE-STATUS is a variable in the COMMON wslib.
Since the COMMON library isn't being inserted by the pre-compiler, I think the program didn't compile before the changes were made.
Comment out or remove the lines you added for the comments and see if it compiles.

I did API guide was not so use full.

I added the 840-FIND-RQHSET1 before comments section. At least I got it compiled.
