    Hi all,

We never used IOS or portal in version 7.x or 8.x. We are now migrating to 9.0.x apps/env. Wanted to know if theres' any way to migrate the custom menu that the users are currently using to convert into a portal bookmark. I've used the load menu function etc. but even after running lo920, I dont' see the forms/reports in the portal bookmarks. The default bookmark does not have any children underneath? Am I missing something?

    Thanks.

It would probably be quickest to just create new bookmarks.
Thanks for using the LawsonGuru.com forums!

    Hi Barry,
I specialize in converting bookmarks during the upgrade.
This is a manual process to carry all your custom and existing bookmarks along with any newly introduced bookmarks by Lawson.
Creating a new set of bookmarks will not solve your problem because these bookmarks have IDs which are tied to each user in thier user profile.
There is a high risk that the users will get a different set of bookmarks than they had in thier previous system if you just create a new set of bookmark.

when you do the upgrade you want to make sure that it happens transparently for the end user. When they login to the new system first time they should see all thier settings as they had in thier previous system.

There are 6 files in the LOGAN/LO table that should be converted and adjusted.
Many technical details are involved which will be hard to explain here.
We can have a discussion over the phone if you want.
    Regards,
    -Tech Guru.
