Hide Search Box on LBI

Does anyone know if it is possible to hide the search box on the right hand side of the dashboard view of LBI? We are moving from 8 to 9 and having both the portal search box and the LBI on the right hand side has become confusing. We never use the one in LBI and would be cleaner to just hide it.

this disables the portal search box, not sure if it will apply to LBI.

Hey Eric,

In the application.js file, comment out ("//") the 8 lines of code following "//search" under the CreateDashboardBar function.

We are displaying LBI as a bookmark inside portal (This is new to our9.0 conversion) and when we do it we get an edit layout buton that appears over the (in our case) blue bar. any ideas how to get rid of it also?

Not sure exactly what button you mean, but if it is at the very top of the window I suspect you need to use the options in Role Manager to limit user options. We access LBI via a portal bookmark and users do not see an edit layout button.

Could you let me know what your settings are on the options so I can compare them to ours?
