Hi,
We are using Lawson 9.0.1 and ESS 9. We are planning to upgrade to ESS version 10 and Lawson told me that we do not need to upgrade to Infor 10.
I would like to know if someone is using ESS version 10 (with Lawson 9.0.1) and if you find any challenges during the upgrade. We have a lot of customizations in ESS
Thank you,
Lorena

We are on 9.0.1 (specifically 9.0.1.10) and EMSS 10.0.1.0.07 in production and 10.0.3.0.09 in test. We are not having any issues. But you do need to be aware that new EMSS features might not work with your application version - check the documentation, it usually says the application version that supports the new EMSS bookmarks.

Thank you. Do you know if they change the programming language? Are they still using javascript, html and AGS/DME calls? We have a lot of customizations and I want to make sure they will be easy to re apply them in the new version.

It's all the same. Our many customizations went back in easily.

Do you know if employees will be able to see labels correctly in IE10 using portal 9.0.1?

Margie,
Did you upgrade to Employee and Manager Self Service version 10 and have issues with the labels?

Per the compatibility document, EMSS runs on IE10 only if Windows 8. We had a few users on IE10 and Windows 7 and had trouble. We've dropped then back to IE9.

Thanks. I think our other barrier for IE 10 may be Portal 9.0.1.

Portal is compatible with IE9 at release 9.0.1.9 and with IE10 at release 9.0.1.12. So it depends on where you are, but you don't need to be on Infor S3 10 to run IE10.
