Access Employee Self Service from mobile device

Hi,

We are on EMSS version 10.0.4  (Lawson app 9.0.1) and our company wants to access Employee self Service from a mobile device (phone/tablet). We do not like the Lawson ESS Mobile app. It does not provide a full version of EMSS.

We heard that upgrading to Infor 10x will give us that capability but we could not find anyone that it is using it.

Was someone able to access EMSS from a phone or tablet in any version of EMSS or Lawson app?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

We are using a third party package from ITK call Browser Solution. This installs as a middleware piece on your Infor Web Server and makes Portal browser agnostic so it will work on Chrome, Android, Safari, etc.
Most screens function very well from mobile devices, but since it's rendering Portal as a full browser you may run into some quirks.
There is a new version coming out but I beleive most of the issues are related to functions in certain EMSS screens not being supported by the Android browser which is very pared down compared to a desktop browser.

As Joe pointed out, iTk is the way to go on this, if you need greater EMSC availability via mobile devices.

With that said, since EMSC isn't natively written for mobile access and isn't fully HTML5 compliant, NO device will render ALL of it correctly, but if you want to get very close, without significant custom development, iTk is the call you should make.

(NOTE: I am NOT affiliated with iTk in any manner, but several of my clients own the iTk product, and from my professional assessment of the product and the company, this solution is the real deal)
