Force All Capital Letters in Dependent Task

Has anyone ever forced ESS to pass all capital letters to Lawson (EMDEPEND table) when updating dependent information in Employee Manager Self-Service. I am ok with not customizing the ESS page and allowing users to enter lower case letters during enrollment but was wondering if we could force the data to be passed in all caps. I'm not strong in JavaScript. Thanks.
