I have a question about the ability to add a person to Lawson, give access to MSS, and assign employees to them that is a contractor. We have not to date had a situation of a back fill manager position that was handled by a manager that we needed to address with MSS access.

Has anyone run into a similar situation that might have some creative ways to handle with limite impacts to set up, interfaces, etc?

RM structure would be the easiest way in my opinion. So you don't have to do it in HR structure.

We have our contractors who manage employees setup within HR as a separate employee status. The status is setup as no pay/no benefits and is excluded from counts.

As MSS uses the direct/indirect structure within Lawson HR, I do not see any other way for this to be accomplished.

We were pretty much at the conclusion that to tie the supervisor table/employees,etc for MSS that we had to have them in HR11 with no pay/no benefits.
