Is anyone out there running Lawson v.10 and also Q-Sight for their Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology information system?  Or maybe you're not using Q-Sight but are still processing an RQ500 file formatted for v10?

We started our implementation of Q-Sight a couple months ago.  I’m testing RQ500 but Owens & Minor isn’t able to find me a file that’s formatted for the Lawson 10 version with a record length of 2330. I've tried taking the file they sent and padding the records with spaces but I'm still getting the same error.  I’m wondering if it would be possible to share one of the RQ500 files you receive from Q-Sight.  It doesn’t have to be an entire file, just the header and a few lines would work.  Or you can send the whole file and I’ll truncate it and substitute our company number and item numbers and test.

Also, which IC500 level job are you running to supply Q-Sight with item master data?  Owens & Minor recommended IC525 but when I run that I don’t see that it has all the data that they require.

JonA: We aren't running Q-Sight, but I can provide an example of RQ500 file formatted for v10.
Also, to answer your second question: We are using IC527... but with a caveat: The file produced by IC527 has to be manipulated into a IC526-formatted file..
Let me work on genericising our RQ500 file a bit.. (We've actually got patient/Dr.s names in the file)
It's been working well for us since we've been live earlier this year.

The record length (for our version 10) is only 2000... so,  not sure where you're coming up with the extra 330?

IC526             IC527

MSH               MSH

MFI                 MFI

CD1               CD1

CD2               CD2

CD3              CD3

MSH              CD1

MFI               CD2

CD1              CD3

CD2              CD1

So, we've just developed a process for copying the MSH and MFI segments between the CD3 and CD1 segments.

The file layout specs for RQ500 show file size of 2330. That's also what workdef shows.

Are you looking at file FFRQ500WK ? Workdef shows 2000 for that file. I show the workdef for RQ500CSV as 2760... possibly because of a CTP. I'll need to look at the file layout specs to make sure that we aren't missing something....

What specific version of 10 are you running Jon? I have a doc for 10.0.6 that shows RQ500 layout as length 2000 with a default filename of FFRQ500WK. I can attach if needed.

I was also trying to test RQ500 with a record length of 2,330 per the documentation, but it wasn't working. I found out from Infor that although we are on MSP7, there is a JT that came out later that will change the length from 2,000 to 2,330. It's working for us with the record length of 2,000.

RQ500 had a CSV option introduced. I don't know if it was in 10.0.6 or 10.0.7. I just know it was not there in 10.0.5, but it is there in 10.0.7. As Greg says, the usual way - using the FFRQ500WK format still has a length of 2000. So unless they are sending you a CSV, just leave the CSV parameter set to "N" and run with the flat file format.

We're on Lawson 10.0.9.0.85. The File Layout document I'm looking at is RQFL_10.0.7.0.xls downloaded from Infor. There are two tabs for RQ500 - "RQ500" and "RQ500 CSV". The RQ500 tab, which I've been assuming is the formatting for the flat file, shows a record size of 2330. And workdef for the FFRQ500WK file reflects this. The RQ500 CSV tab, which I've been assuming is the formatting for the CSV file, shows a record size of 2000.
