Using OLD GHX script

EDI transactions in Lawson have been working with a few exceptions.

Upon working on one of the failures, Infor informed me that the script being used was old.

 

What is the consequence, if any, if they continue to use old GHX script and do up update to the current code?

 

I want to be able to give them a valid business reason.

What issues are you having? Since upgrading to 10.0.6 in December we've had a spattering of EDI POs where the vendor is saying they didn't receive a 'ship to' value in the transmission. For us its not all POs and it's not even all POs to a specific vendor(s). We've been poking around the edges a bit looking for a cause when we're not busy chasing bigger issues.

From v9 to v10 the EDI mapping did not change for us. Now from v10.06 to v10.07 apps, we're having to change the ED10 process - but not the mapping.

In 10.0.6 Process: laws_out_ghx_91 Mapping: 91X_850_OUT
In 10.0.7 Process: laws_out_91_ghx Mapping: 91X_850_OUT

We already had laws_out_91_ghx on our server.

What version of EDI are you? The GHX scripts get updated with new EDI updates. We are having issues with GHX uploads so I'm having to go from EDI 10.0.5.3 to 10.0.5.8

I don't have what we were on with 10.0.6 apps - but EDI went to v10.0.5.7 with the v10.0.7 app upgrade and that's when we had to switch from laws_out_ghx_91 to laws_out_91_ghx -- no changes needed (yet) to inbound process or map.

With EDI 10.0.5.3 or higher, you need to make sure CTP 108612 was applied also.

We're live - no issues so far on day 8 post upgrade.

Kat, the scripts that had ghx_91 were scripts that were delivered from GHX. Starting with V10, Infor took over providing the scripts and they switched then to 91_ghx. If you still have old scripts, you will see laws_out_ghx_91 and possibly laws_out_ghx_90. The 91 was used for Lawson version 9.0.1 and the 90 used for Lawson version 9.0.

Hi Jon - do you mean Bev? I've never had an issue. We are up at 2+weeks on laws_out_91_ghx on EDI vv10.0.5.7 with the v10.0.7 app - no issues.

No, just saying the script named switched because they were given to user's directly by GHX in 9.0.1 and starting with V10, Infor started distributing them with the EDI product. Hence the flip flop of the script name.
