Custom spend analysis report

Has anyone been successful in creating an ABC spend analysis report that encompasses all purchased items (not just inventory tracked items)?  My VP's want to be able to tie the financials directly to our procurement detail.  HELP!

Are you being asked to provide a description of the items purchased or just the amounts spent by accounting unit/account?

The only way I found to do a report like that is through access (you could also use Crystal). Do you know how to use access?

What tables do you use for this report?
