I created 4 new PARS using IC81. They have all the fields filled in that our other PARs have. The other PARs scan and upload fine.

Our handhelds find and download the PARs fine and scanning works like a charm as well as the upload. The req that gets created doesn't complete, status is UNRELEASED. I get an error that says accounting information for line No 1 is missing.

What is causing that error and how is it fixed?

Hi Terry,
When you create a new IC81, Lawson automatically creates an RQ01 record (with the same code) to support the par location. Have you updated the RQ01 record to assign a default Accounting Unit?

Went to each line and put in the account and activity and it released.

Terry,

Do you assign GL categories to each item in the par location? If not, Lawson needs to be able to pull the distribution information from somewhere- the GL cat in IC12, the Issue Account fields in RQ01, or the Issue Account field in IC11. We assign GL cats to each item in the par and those GL cats have both the accounting unit and account.

If we try to upload counts and any of this information is missing the line won't even be added to the req. It errors out on the MSCM server and doesn't go any further.

The GL cats are assigned to each item in the item location, IC12.

Once I put in the acount and activity on each line and changed the req released ok and a pick ticket for PAR was printed. So, it looks like it's working. Thanks for your help Mike and Jon.
