Best practice for IFS file location

hello; we are on an Iseries box and preparing to upgrade to new OS v6r1


My Lawson consultant suggested moving the CSV files out of the db folder since they do NOT belong there anyway, and this can slow the upgrade process down for the apps.

1) Is this true

2) The default file location has been setup for the LA200 to the IFS/Lawson/Db folder since version 6, is there a different location that is more appropriate & is there documentation from Lawson to support it.
