When the Global Security in WebSphere is turned on, starting the WebSphere services through windows services will not start - somehow after applying some environment patches, the SSL got foobarred - the services cannot complete the handshake.

Does anyone have any instructions on how to configure WAS and SSL to work with LSF 9? or how to redeploy the application, perhaps?

Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you!!

I redeployed the applications (BPM, IOS, LAWSEC) and still doesn't work. When I enabled the Global Security and started all the services via Windows services, it shows that the nodeagent and app have started. Yet, when I go to WebSphere, it shows that the nodeagent is not started.

Please help....

If I remember correctly, you need to redeploy in a specific order.

LAWSEC then BPM, and finally IOS.

Also, with WAS, I've noticed that what it displays via the running/not_running indicators is not necessarily the case.

Hope this helps!

Greg,

I've spoken to a few installers and all of them say that there's no specific order - at least not in LSF9. Maybe in older versions? Yeah, I'm also aware of the "displays" not showing properly. The reason I know that it's not the display is when I stry to "restart" the nodeagent, this message pops up:

"The node agent on node lawdevNode01 must be started to perform the restart operation. Node agents in stopped state can not be started from the console. "

If the service appears to be starting, but isn't I've usually found that there are temp files in the WAS profile directories which need to be deleted....

Under your WAS profile, look for directories *temp*...
