In attempts to create new security classes we have difficulty getting the drill around in the GL90 function to work.

We took the following steps to create two new security classes:

Copied one security class (BIZANALYST) twice

Removed access to specific applications and forms within applications for each of the two new classes

This created two new security classes called AP/GLPROC and VENDMAINT.

Once this was done access was OK until Lawson  was restarted (stoplaw and startlaw).  So, day of security class creation access was satisfactory but the next day the access to drill around and drill selection lists for the following were no longer available:

companies

posting accounting units

accounts

Any ideas a) what stoplaw or startlaw do to change security and b) how I can bring back drill access to this screen?

Thanks!

Do you have any data level security ? Check by exec laua, pick your sec class, f6 (define) on pl, select option A (applications), f6 (define) on pl again, select option b (data security). If nothing, go down to the system code level and repeat.
