Is anyone out there using Windows 7 desktop for their Lawson end users? Our school district would like to upgrade, and I need to determine if all of our lawson products will work. We are on 9.0.1 4 environment with 9.0.0.3 apps, and we use e-Recruiting, lawson reporting, Add-ins, RSS and EMSS.  I see that Add-ins is supported based on the availability matrix, but I didn't find anything for the rest of the products.

We install LID in XP Mode and have not had any problems. I have not tried running it in Windows 7. We have Add-ins, but I have not tried running it in Windows 7.

WE are looking at doing Windows 7, Internet Explorer (IE) 8, and Microsoft Office 2007 Suite, with a possibility to utilize Microsoft Office 2010 suite. I'd love to know any issues with this combination

We have started rolling out Windows 7.  Our prod env is 9.0 env/8.0.3 apps, but our users are heavily involved in testing 9.0.1/9.0.1. So far, no problems with anyone on Windows 7.

We just started rolling it out here too. The only issue I've come across is some portal users had issues opening up reports from the print managers in PDF. We think that is related to adobe updates and not Windows though.

Win 7 for any Portal or Browser based lawson code is just fine. That would include e-Recruiting, lawson reporting, Add-ins, RSS and EMSS.

Been using Windows 7 professional. No problem with LID or Portal under IE8.

We are using a blended environment of XP and 7, and have not been experiencing problems while using IE 8. There are some considerations for IE 8, which off the top of my head I do not recall, but I will check my notes. Most of the users on Windows 7 here are IT, so there is a pretty broad spectrum of use.

We are on a iSeries backend, with 9.0.0.5 core, 9.0.0.4 app and are currently moving to 9.0.1.

Sorry, just saw the last question. We have both 32 bit and 64 bit Windows 7 users, but I am not sure any of our 64 bit users are using Lawson.

We have a user that cannot open pdf files in print files. They are running Win 7 x64 using IE8. He has reports open in PDF and when he double clicks a print file, he gets ablank screen pop up quickly and then close. Now the difference is we have a shortcut that clears cache, copies certificates to the current machine and then launches the Lawson Portal in a window that hides everything but the web browsers and status bar. Anyone experience issues like this with their print files? When we open a regular browser with all menu, address and icon bars showing and goto print files and double click, things work fine. Our admins want to do it this way; why, I have no clue. Can anyone help? Thanks!

I think I answered my own question. Had an end user try this and found the solution: - http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/405/kb405461.html

All Adobe had to do was tell folks ahead of time about possible issues. Oh well, hope this helps some one out there!
