Difference between PO Issued Received and Closed?

What is the difference between POs Issued, POs Released, and POs Closed?

Here is a quick overview, as there are many possible variances to the standard 'life' of a PO in Lawson.

A PO is added in Lawson, and then it must be Released before it can be issued. Think of Released as being (ideally) the finished and complete PO. An Issued PO is a PO that has generally 'left' the Lawson system somehow - it was printed, emailed, faxed etc. - to get to the vendor. A PO in Lawson will close when all of it's lines are closed - either everything has been recieved and matched, or cancelled.
