Hi All,

We have a custom program (ZS31) that has been in-place for some time.  Recently we added a new form (ZS31.2) to the program.  In our DEV environment, we were able to add security to the new form using SecAdmin without any issues.  However, when it was promoted to PROD, the new form does not appear in SecAdmin.

I've confirmed that the form is in tokendef, pgmdef, and laua (for the right security class) in PROD.  I've recompiled the program, ran srgen and scrgen, cleared security cache and ios cache - all to no avail.

Attached are the related screenshots.

What am I missing???

Thanks for your help!

Kelly

By the way, the program works correctly for people who have security off (LS=No). It's just the ability to apply security in LS9 that is the issue.

Kelly,
A few questions:
1) Are your productlines named the same in your PROD environment and in your DEV environment?
2) In PROD environment, do you have multiple productlines?
3) In your PROD environment, does SecAdmin list the defined productline for the profile as the PROD productline?
4) In your PROD environment, can someone with developer-style access pull up the form in LID, and use it?

...I assume #4 is true.

My gut is that you may have a mismatch between your defined (default) productline, and the assigned productline.

HI Kwane,

In response to your questions:
1)  The prodline names are different between DEV and PROD.  DEV has DEV/TEST/TRN/PRIST, and PROD has PROD.
2)  We only have one prodline in PROD
3)  Yes, the assigned datasource for security in PROD is PROD.
4)  Yes, the form works correctly in LID and Portal for users who have "LS=No" (i.e. laua security)

Thanks!  Kelly

Kelly,
The only thing I can think of is your default dataarea isn't pointing to PROD, but since you only have one productline defined, it'd have to be PROD, since any other value would render your profile non-functioning.
Let me think a bit on it as I work into the evening, and I'll post other ideas.

You'll love this.  We checked again on Monday (after services were restarted over the weekend) and the new token appeared in SecAdmin exactly as it should have.

DOH!  This sort of thing really drives me crazy....

Thanks for trying to help!
