Hide TAXID on AP10 with certain roles

Is it possible to hide TAXID on AP10 based on certain roles?

Design studio, create a custom AP10 without TAXID field. AP10_CUSTOM for example. Then remove AP10 access/ add AP10_CUSTOM access to the roles. Not a direct approach, but it works.

We created a specific vendor class then wrote rules on the forms and files, based upon the vendor class, whether the tax id and bank information was visible or not.
