Search Box Lockdown

I need to restrict ESS users from using the Search box, as they have access to HR11 to inquire Personal data.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

The Portal Administrator can use the Portal Role Maintenence screen to customize the role to restrict search box usage. You probably want to assign a different role to ESS users if they need a different restriction. Select the role used by ESS users, go to the Search tab, and delete some of the options. You might try deleting everything except bookmarks.

Greatly appreciate the input.

I forgot to mention, that the ESS Role implmented is for both ESS users and ESS/Lawson users. Looks like I need to create a new role for ESS users only with un-checked Allow use of search.

Tread carefully with your wording. "Role" can mean two different things. "Portal Role" is different than "Security Role".
A user can have only ONE Portal Role, but many Security Roles.
