Preserve formatting upon LBI export

We would like to be able to export existing LBI reports, (or set them to open directly as Excel (.xlsx)) so that the columns are sized according to the data in each column. The purpose of this is so that the end user does not have to spend the extra time re-sizing the columns to see all the data in each column of the Excel spreadsheet

Is there a way to do this if the report is coming from Crystal? I have tried changing some settings in the Export options within the Crystal report, which works great when exporting directly from Crystal, but when I republish this to LBI, the export options do not seem to get retained.

Any thoughts are appreciated!

We have had this issue since our upgrade to version 10. We can sometimes overcome it by reformatting the Crystal report but we often have to use the Excel data only export.

Just a thought. Are they resizing each column individually? I can see where that may take time depending on the number of columns. But you can resize all columns at once by highlighting the entire worksheet and double-click the column separator.
