We are evaluating whether or not to have our Lawson applications hosted externally. I am curious to know if anyone is doing so, which providor you are using and whether or not you are happy with them.

I am surprised that no one has replied to this telling you to look at Lawson's new "cloud" offering.
I looked once at different hosting options but I found it did not fit us financially... Sorry not much to offer - I think Ciber, Velosity, ACS, NaviSite, and Lawson offer hosting (probably a bunch of others as well.)

Well I don't know if you're still looking for responses or not but here goes.
We have been hosted by Navisite, now Velocity, for the three years I've been here. I have worked in Unix Lawson environments for about 20 years and this is the first time I've been around a hosted environment. I really like it. The support is great. They have a staff of functional and technical people who are very professional and helpful. Most of them act like they are there to provide a service and overall they do so very well.

I would shop around at the offerings from Ciber, Velocity, etc.
Then I would go to Lawson and see how their cloud offer stacks up. In my opinion, partnering with Amazon was a smart move for Lawson
I know in the past the managed application companies had their contracts structured for 5 years of service (with a $1 million+ price tag). With the economy and all, I am not sure how much of that may have changed.

Has anyone gone "up" on the Lawson Cloud Services yet?
We're strongly considering this option, but, its still kind of "cloudy".

I am surprised to see your good comment about Velocity. We went live in April 2010 and have had continued performance issues with Velocity. We are a big client with 11,000 employees and a large database. I also understand Babtist Health has decided to dump Lawson and Velocity for Peoplesoft/Oracle Inhouse. The only thing I like about Velocity is that I don't have to spend nights and weekends restoring prod to test and dev databases!!
