We moved to Lawson in 2006 and the PAEMPPOS table has history back to 12/26/2006 but we have a need for data going back prior to 2006 and the HRHISTORY,PERSACTHIST, and PRRATEHIST all have the history from our previous HR\Payroll software.

My issue is how to display one clean row per effective dated change instead of showing several rows for every history action. Could I create a derived field in Crystal Rpts like DEPT=HRHISTORY.FLD_NBR="15" so it would only display the ee's department for that effective dated row instead of showing a row for every fld_nbr?

I know this is more of a Crystal Rpts question than a Lawson question but thought I would throw it out there and see if anyone else has done something like this.

Thanks for any help or suggestions on this.

I may be able to do this with grouping in Crystal rpts but it's still not as clean looking as I would like. Any suggestions are appreciated.

      Thank you,

        Sarah,

The Dashboard Gear Lawson HR Reporting Tool Kit (a data warehouse) will make this type of reporting very easy. Check out our website or feel free to give me a call.

Sarah - did you figure this out yet? I believe you are on the right path with limiting it to the specific field number.

Create individual formulas to pull what you want.... If you have a bunch you could consider using commands for each field.

Another thought - cross tab report "might" work??? Have not done but I would think you could do employees down and fld numbers across....
