LP130 error stopped on exit 23

We want to use LP130 to create LP payouts. I ran the LP140 and then the LP130. It ran okay in report mode but will not run in update mode. The job goes into "needs recovery" with the error message - "stopped on Exit23".

Have you encountered this? What was your fix?

Margie - this may (and probably is) unrelated, but did you see KB 1197479 - it was for a PA102 with a Stopped On Exit 23 error but who knows it might apply?
I have been wanting to try LP140/LP130 with payroll so let me know how yours turned out. I had tried it at previous employment and it worked
really nicely but we never got it into production.

I saw that article, had my IT person look and he did not think it applied. I do have an open case. Just looking for a quicker solution.

        Thank you for your response.

Margie - did you ever get this resolved? We are going to start testing - is your sequence PR132, LP140, LP197, LP130, LP197, PR140, PR160 PR197 PR198 (or something like that?)

We did not. A recommendation was made to load some CTPs etc and try again but we were going to begin our ACA work and did/do not have the resources to dedicate to it right now. I don't believe I would run the first LP197 you have listed. The Lawson documentation has the order as this - LP140, LP130, PR140, PR160, PR197 and LP197. Of course PR132 should be run before a PR140.

You are so right, I was looking at a different page in the documentation that showed an LP197 in the middle but it was for non-payroll cycles. We finished testing today and LP140, LP130 and then PR140 worked really well.

                Mary:

Can you provide me the correct sequence to run this within the PR cycle? I can get it to run with LP140, LP130, LP197, PR132, PR132, PR160 ,PR197. I want to run it with the LP197 at the end (not in the middle) but I keep getting LP00 errors (LP payment not complete). I don't want to run a LP197 right after the LP140/:P130 because that would post all other LP action, which I think is risky (no fallback for corrections. How do you do this?

                thanks
