Attach .uwf file for users in Word document

In the upload wizard you can save your upload template to your PC, the extension will be .uwf.

You should be able to attach the .uwf file to an e-mail and send it to the user and the user can save it to their own PC.

You should be able to "paste as..." In the Word doc. However, the retrieving user will have to copy and "save as..." since the uwf extension is not a registered file type that can be double-clicked to open Excel (if I understand your question). =

We created a secure folder on a shared drive, and I have saved queres there - any user with access to the folder can select any appropriate query when using the "saved" option through add-ins. They can then save it to their desktop if they want to alter the criteria, or leave it as is on the shared drive after they use it.

HI. MS Office isn't the best always. If you r-click on the uwf file (I use Explorer), then select Copy. Open a Word document (a temp disposable file), and paste the uwf there. Leaving Word open, open your Excel upload spreadsheet. R-click on the uwf icom in the Word doc, and select copy. R-click in any cell in the Excel file, and select Paste. The uwf is now in the Excel file.  Dave

John Henley was also correct. When the user opens the Excel file, they will have to r-click/copy the uwf embedded within the file and r-click/save onto their desktop or in a directory they use.

I have a spreadsheet with the instructions on how to embed the uwf into an upload spreadsheet. I wans't able to upload it here as I received a message stating File type is not allowed. Dave
