Does anyone have a project plan or checklist to use when defining a new company in Lawson S3?

Honestly on this one there are too many variations on the checklist depending on what your needs are and how many of the S3 products you have installed. Really about the best thing I can tell you that is has to start at the GL10 to add it and then you'll have to build out the accounting units GL20 and assign accounts GL20.2 or GL121. I would suggest you look at the flowcharts and start with the financial modules then supply chain then HR/Payroll. It really just comes down to what operational activities you want to see in this company and it's intercompany relationships to your existing entities.

I'm not sure how helpful this is. It's only for GL module, does not include the set up in any other module>

        1. Add the Company on GL10
        2. Add applicable Accounting Units on GL20
        3. Add System Accounting Unit on GL20.6
        4. Add the new company to the applicable Company Group on GL11
        5. Regenerate UPH Chart of Accounts
        6. Add Intercompany Accounts on GL00
        7. Add Intercompany Relationships on GL25
        8. Close Calendars to appropriate period using GL199
        9. Add the appropriate System Controls on GL01
        10. Communicate the addition of the new company to appropriate Staff
        11. Inquire if these need to be added to BI reports.
        12. Set up company in RM.
