Hello we just brought on 3 other hospitals to our health system, outside of templates is there another way for them to only be able to order their items?  Also looking for best practice regarding this scenario.  Currently we have folks ordering items from vendors that have no allocation for them as they have selected a wrong item.  this is causing alot of rejections with our vendors and impacting patient care as we are not getting product needed.  Any input would be appreciate.  Thank you

You may want to review RQ04, requisition center tab, List only internal items field. If you set this to I (ic12), the requester can only see items in RQC that are setup in the from-location for the requesting location that they are ordering for.

Thank you for replying Stephanie.  So if I am understanding correctly I would build both stock and non-stock item in IC12 and set their from locaiton in RQ04 to the IC12 location and addtionally on RQ04 select list only interal items?  In RQC using the search catalog they would only see the items that are built in IC12?

You can use Purchasing Classes as a restriction filter.

Good point Bill. Our purchasing class was used for another purpose so that doesn't work for us.

Brenda, If you go with the internal items only option, then you have it correct in your post, other than the default from-location comes from the RQ01 setup for whichever requesting location the requester is using in RQC.

Things we've done to hide items.

                  * Take them off participants on contracted pricing
                  * Add the item as inactive to their IC12
                  * Put the IC11 to an issue account they don't have rights to
                  * Purchasing Class restrictions on the RQ04

The purchasing class and the inactive IC12 are the most effective.
