Hi , In error we have closed the AR period before running the AR190 Report which pushes through all the periods transactions in to GL, there doesn't appear to be an option to reopen the period or to run retrospective. We are faced with having to go through every invoice batch and make manual journals in to the GL , is this really the only option?, we really need to reopen the period if possible ?

      Hi Paul,

Did you see knowledge base article #1204223 "How can I reopen a period in the AR system"? The article outlines the approach of modifying the GL01 calendar.

            Paul -
            Here's the content from Infor
How do I reopen a period in AR?
            Description:
How can I reopen a period in the AR system once I've closed it with AR199 (Period Closing)?
            Resolution:
You can't really reopen a statistical period in AR; however, changing the Beginning and Ending date range in your System Control (GL01) allows you to enter a transaction back to the correct GL period which AR190 (AR195 in version 8.1.x) will then post to General Ledger. You should not, however, run AR199 to 'reclose' the period as this will adversely affect your AR194 Beginning Balance amounts. Each time the AR199 is run, the beginning balances for the Period-to-Date (each month you run AR199) and the Year-to-Date (each time you run AR199 with Year End parameter equal to 'Y'es) are updated on this report. Therefore, if a second AR199 is run, the beginning balances will be updated a second time which would reflect an incorrect beginning point the period until the data entry and AR199 runs are back in sync for the correct month.
NOTE: Your period statistics (period sales, period billing, period writeoffs, and so on which you see in AR75 will not be affected at all)
