IC51.1 - Available Bin Space
**Form Purpose
Use Available Bin Space (IC51.1) to view available bin space by storage code.
This form compares bin storage limitations to item storage requirements. Bin
storage limitations are defined by storage code in IC15.1 (Storage Codes).
Item storage requirements are defined by the quantity to be stored and weight
and cubic measure values defined for the item in IC11.1 (Item Master).
**More Information
To view available bin space you must enter a company, location, and storage
code. Available bin space by weight and cubic measure is calculated based on
the storage code specified and what is currently being stored in the bin.
To determine whether a bin is large enough to accommodate a specific item
quantity, you must enter the item number and quantity to be stored. This form
calculates item storage requirements based on the item's stock unit of measure
and size information defined in IC11.1 (Item Master). Three asterisks display
if a bin is large enough to store the item weight specified. This form also
indicates whether other items are being stored in the bin.
