TR02.1 - Course Prerequisite
**Form Purpose
Use Course Prerequisite (TR02.1) to define course prerequisites, which limit
participation in a course. When you define a prerequisite, you use only the
fields that pertain to that type of prerequisite. The other fields are left
blank.
To define a course prerequisite, use the Type, Required, Prerequisite, Start,
and Stop fields.
To define an employee group prerequisite, use the Type, Required,
Prerequisite, Company, Start, and Stop fields.
To define a competency prerequisite, use the Type, Required, Prerequisite,
Start, and Stop fields.
To define a service prerequisite, use the Type, Required, Date Type, Length,
Unit, Start, and Stop fields.
Prerequisites are required or optional. Employees must complete all required
prerequisites before they can register for a course unless a number is
specified in TR02.2 (Perquisite Options). Employees do not have to complete
optional prerequisites to register for a course unless a number is specified
in TR02.2.

PAPREREQ - The Prerequisites file is the primary file maintained by this
program. The file stores prerequisite information.
Referenced Files
PACOURSE - The Courses file is accessed to verify courses and to retrieve
course codes.
PAPREPROPT - The Prerequisite Options file is accessed when prerequisites
are deleted.
PCODES - The Human Resources Code file is accessed to verify the course
skill.
PERSGROUP -
PRSYSTEM - The HR Company and Process Levels file is accessed to verify
the company.
TR02.2 - Prerequisite Options
**Form Purpose
Use Prerequisite Options (TR02.2) to specify the number of required and
optional courses needed as prerequisites. For example, employees might need to
complete two of three required courses and one of two optional courses.

PAPREPROPT - The Prerequisite Options course is the primary file maintained
by this program.
Referenced Files
PACOURSE - The Courses file is accessed to verify courses and retrieve
course codes.
PAPREREQ - The Prerequisites file is accessed to determine the total
number of required and optional prerequisites.
