SL02.1 - User Analysis Value Relations
Use User Analysis Value Relations (SL02.1) to define and maintain user
analysis value relations. A user analysis relation is a mechanism used to
define the valid user analysis value combinations that are available in
transactions
for a specific general ledger detail or summary account.
**More Information
You assign a user analysis relation to a detail account in GL00.4 (Account
Information) and a summary account in GL00.5 (Summary Account Options).
Choose the New Relation button to open SL02.2 (User Analysis Relation).
Use this subform to define a name that identifies the relation, type a
description
of the relation, and select a user analysis group.
If you want to select any user analysis value in a transaction, only
assign a user analysis group to accounts in GL00.2 (Define Chart).
For example, in SL00.1 (User Analysis Values) you define two user analyses:
User Analysis A and User Analysis B. Each contains the following values and
classes. Note: The user analysis values must be active.
NOTE If you only want to use a value for User Analysis B, use the blank
value in User Analysis A. (See SL00.3 (Blank User Analysis Value) for
additional
information.)
In SL01.1 (User Analysis Group) you combine User Analysis A and User
Analysis B into User Analysis Group AB.
Use SL02.1 to assign user analysis group AB with a user analysis relation.
When you select User Analysis Group AB, User Analysis A displays above Class1
and User Analysis B displays above Class2. In the ClassX column, you select
the classes associated with the user analysis values you defined in SL00.1
you want to use a valid values for the account. For example:
NOTE You can assign classes more than once to create as many relations
as necessary.
If you assigned the same class to multiple user analysis values, all
the values included in the class are valid in the relation.
The relation is used as the validation mechanism in the User Analysis
Entry subform. If you select Milk (Class 001) in the User Analysis Value field
for user analysis A, you can ONLY select Truck (Class 004) or Driver (Class
005) for user analysis B because of the relation you define in this form.
(Note: You access the User Analysis Entry subform by using the Define (F6)
feature in the User Analysis field in any Lawson account code.)
Also, if you select Butter in the User Analysis Value field for user
analysis A, you can only select Truck (Class 004) or Miles (Class 006) for
user analysis B.
Run SL202 (Relation Listing) to list user analysis relation information
defined on this form.
