AC GL Acct Unit Consolidation
This file maintains summary-level activity consolidation balances by account
category, company, accounting unit, and year in the activity group base
currency. Whether this file is updated depends on the value in the Accounting
Unit Detail field on AC00.1 (Activity Group), which is stored in the Activity
Group file. This file is updated by AC191 (AC Accounting Unit Posting).

An activity group is set up to budget
for, report on, process, and store
information common to one or more
activities. You must set up an activity
group before you can set up activities,
budgets, transactions, and inquiries. To
collect costs and revenues, at least one
activity must be linked to an activity
group.

posted to activities, and indirect costs
are allocated to activities based on
activity drivers.
Activities are grouped or organized by
activity levels. There are two types of
activities: "posting allowed" and
"summary only." Use posting level
activities to budget and maintain all
posted transactions. Summary activities
or macro activities combine information
and balances from lower level activities
for reporting and inquiries.

Period-to-date, year-to-date, and
life-to-date balances are maintained by
account category for activities. Account
categories must be assigned to
activities before you do any budgeting
or transaction processing.
