BS39.1 - Channel Information
Use the Channel Information form to specify how your Lawson report will be
bursted and distributed. This is the point of convergence for all the setup
information used by eBroadcast:
* The Information field matches "Procedure" on the detail line for your
report on the Procedure Definition form (WF07) for the Report Distrib
service. This connects your report job to the bursting and distribution
information you enter in this form.
* The folder listed here contains the path to which publications will be
written by the InfoDistAgent. That folder's setup information, as entered on
the Folder form(BS10.2), also includes a channel declaration.
* You can also tie your channel information to a specific type of viewer if
you are working with something other than standard Lawson reports. The
eBroadcast viewer will use the application specified here to view
publications generated by this information.
* The detail lines of this form enable you to connect distribution (List
Group) to report content (Rule Name). Report content that matches a specified
rule is distributed to all the IDs defined in the list group for that detail
line.
Procedures, folders, channels, rules, and list groups, though defined on
different forms, are pulled together by Channel Information to eBroadcast your
document.
