ASN (856) Advanced Shipment Notification

    Hi everyone,

    I need help in regards ASN.  We have been exploring using ASN and when running MA531 we were thinking about leaving the receipts unreleased to assure that what it is on the ASN matches to what we have on the receiving dock. We were planning on using our MSCM handhelds to verify shipments and to release the receipts.  I found out that the handheld (MSCM) doesn't show when there are unreleased receipts, the PO's shows as open.  My question is:  Is someone using ASN, how are you running the MA531? are you using handhelds (MSCM) if you leave the receipts unreleased? How is your process with ASN? Any input I would really appreciate it!

      We didn't find a way to do this, but we do have an IPA print all the released MA531 receipts so the docks grab them and match up before creating receipts on the handheld. This is working for us as we are only accepting receipts from our main med-surg distributor.
