Hi Everyone, I am trying to uniquely pin point transactions from GLTRANSREL table to GLTRANS , how can we achieve this?
is there a column where you can add a unique identifier which gets populated in GLTRANS once journals are posted?
Thanks
Sam

You’re really limited to using a custom system code, source code, and the 10-char reference field which you’ll probably want to code as a unique sequence number. Also don’t rely on fiscal year and period as part of your uniqueness since a user can move a transaction between periods

What are you trying to accomplish? Not sure that you want to add a field to the table. You might try populating the REFERENCE field.

Excellent, i was able to do the same populate a alphanumeric string in reference field in GLTRANSREL and it showed up in GLTRANS table and we are able to match the transactions.
Thanks you very much for the info.
Have a great weekend!
Thanks,
Sam
