Manager ability to view all Work Assignments

    I have a request for Manager's to be able to "see" all work assignments, but only take actions on the ones that they are the Direct Supervisor.  Has anyone else built this type of functionality?  If so, would you be willing to share how you did this. 

    Also has anyone ever had to create a derived field that would total up the FTE's of multiple work assignments?

      Hi Paula--
      We received the same request. If you look at the LPL of the list of work assignments, you see there is an instance selection not seen on Config. Console. We removed that instance selection, and now the managers can see the work assignments. Security would then restrict the ability to perform actions on those that do not report directly to them.

      I'm surprised the field doesn't already exist (maybe on PBM business class), but you would need to use a "for each" statement in the derived field to calculate the total. We've used something similar for calculating total years of experience by external Work Experience in Talent Acquisition module.
