Infor is promoting Birst as the LBI replacement. They said (in a Demo) that Infor Reporting is not the future direction and LBI is to be replaced by Birst.

I'm wondering if any of you are considering this move? We are just short of 200 Crystal Reports and some 30-40 Smartnotes. All of these will need to converted to Birst reports or Alerts.

    Thanks,

You should really take a look at v11 before purchasing any reporting platform.
The need for "reports" in v11 has drastically changed.

v11 really does change the workflow and the context of how you're using "reports". For example, a SmartNotification may now be replaceable by in-context BI associated with a form. It also depends on which flavor of v11 (cloud vs. on-prem), which suites (GHR vs. CSF, etc.), which options you purchase and implement (e.g. d/EPM, etc.) how much pre-built content is included, and what your current reports encompass. Can you provide a few examples of your existing reports?

We have looked at Birst a lot and really like it. In our talks with Infor, our understanding is that Birst is the platform they are moving towards and in future enhancements, Birst reporting is going to be what's built into the v11/CloudSuite platform.

We demoed Birst and even provided one of our very complicated reports we have built and they were able to duplicate it easily.
