Tools to monitor LBI health

    Anybody out there ever implement any tools to montior LBI health? We had some issues at one point scheduled reports did not run due to LBI failed to connect to backend SQL Server database. It would be nice to catch this kind of error before my users do.

      Since most of our scheduled jobs run overnight; we have a scheduled job that delivers a simple Employee Head count to my e-mail (and to our DBA) every night at midnight.

      This way, I am at least sure that the db connection is working just before most of the nightly jobs kick off. If the e-mail is NOT received, then the job failed and we have a problem. This gives us enough warning to address the problem before scheduled jobs fail. This has saved me a ton of problems on a few occasions.

        We have developed some customer and specific alerts for Lawson systems from the LSF Core to LBI and Process Flow. They monitor sysems as well as processes. So all the processes running woudl be alerted on if something stopped. For example fi LADB stopped connecting to the database you would get an alert immediatley.
