    Hi All,

What is your process for handling unreleased IC transactions for month end? I've been talking with Infor and it seems that since upgrading to v10, IC190 does not allow any unreleased transactions for the job to process completely - regardless of the date on the transaction.

Prior to conversion, we were able to kick forward the date on the transaction to the second of the month and rerun IC130 to post through the 1st of the month - then IC190 would run completely for all companies. Now it continues to kick errors related to unreleased transactions even if the date on the transaction is outside the closing period.

The transactions cannot be released because of insufficient stock errors. Currently, we delete the transactions and notify materials so they can re-enter after month end processing.

Does anyone have experience with this issue?

Yes - the inventory locations are required to make all adjustments or notes needed prior to month end.

For the times where we need to assist them due to volume/vacations/etc. We release everything we can. Then run IC222 and save to excel. We go back and delete all records, run the IC130, IC190. Close the month.

Open Excel, upload the IC222 back to whence it came. This leaves it back in the unreleased status for the department to work through and a spreadsheet they can use to justify and JEs they want to make because of it.

DO you have any issues with the operator ID changing because of the upload process? That was the one concern brought up about doing an upload.

And can you upload the transactions with the original post dates?

It will show the operator id of the user doing the uploads, but as the IC222 is emailed out, this is not a concern for us, they know why we did it.

You can upload with the original dates as long as the documents are released and posted with IC130 prior to GL close. Once GL is closed, the document will not release unless you change the dates.
