Going from HEMM to Lawson v11. I worked in Lawson V10 in the past and disliked having PO's print 1x per hour. I never got a straight answer why this is the case. HEMM world Po's print on demand. Is this the case in Lawson and I had been lead down a wrong path? Any clarification you can provide would be great. PO print will happen few and far in between, but it will happen.

    Thanks!

I can't speak to 11 but we are in 10. Although we have a job (PO120) that would print the POs hourly the buyers mostly just choose P as the issue method to print them ad hoc when needed.

If POs are printing every hour then you have a recurring PO120 job set up and set the report (plain) to output to a printer. You don't have to set this up if you don't need it. At one time POs had to be issued before Lawson would audit changes made to a PO so we had a PO120 job that ran overnight to issue any PO with issue type = P but with no printer output.

Thanks Michelle and Jon for your replies. PO's are only printing one time per hour. Is this a best practice? The current expectation (at my hospital) is PO's will print as needed. If we want Po's to print on demand, do we need to go through PO120?
          Sorry- newbie here.

We have PO120 running every 5 minutes for paper, email and fax, 30 minutes for EDI. It's solely preference so I don't know there's a best practice per se.

I would take a look at the PO120 and discuss with IT what your options are.
