Hello - Is it possible to create a portal page using the S3 and Landmark data? We like to get some WU  information from landmark and display them on S3 Portal page.

    thanks

    Srini

we are currently looking to do the same thing as part of our conversion from v9 to v10. We had a design studio on rq44.2 which used dme calls to retrieve WU information from logan table and display thing like last approver and next approver. Our planned solution is to take avantage of Oracle and create a view with the WU data that can be defined in lawson as a custom table and read using the dme logic.

Scott - Excellent idea. I will do the same. We are on SQL server. How do we define the dbdef for view. I can create a view from landmark to S3 but how do we add the view to dbdef.

Actually I am working with a client that had in v9 calls to LOGAN to display on custom forms or portal pages. You can do it using web services. There is a configuration needed at LMK data area level to get the data area SOAP enabled but it can be done.
