Pool Acct Unit/Activity Detail
This file contains detailed pool information for activity-based and
general-ledger-based pools, defined in AC32.1 (Allocation Pool).

Allocation Pool This is the name assigned to the pool
(amount to be allocated). A pool
consists of posted monetary amounts or
statistical units found in ranges of
activities and account categories or
ranges of companies, accounting units,
accounts, and subaccounts specified in
AC32.1 (Allocation Pool).
Pool balances can be accumulated on a
period, year-to-date, or life-to-date
(activity pools only) basis. A pool is
attached to an allocation in AC30.1
(Allocation) or to individual allocation
lines in AC30.2 (Multiple Pool
Allocation).

Allocation This is the allocation as defined in
AC30.1 (Allocation).

Activity Activities are the processes or
procedures that produce work. Cost
objects (products, services, customers,
and so on) are the reasons for
performing the activity. Activities and
cost object activities are used
synonymously in the Activity Management
system. Direct costs are posted to
activities, and indirect costs are
allocated to activities based on
activity drivers.
Activities are grouped or organized by
activity levels. There are two kinds of
activities: "posting allowed" and
"summary only." Use posting level
activities to budget and maintain all
posted transactions. Summary activities
or macro activities combine information
and balances from lower level activities
for reporting and inquiries.

Account Category This is the account category for which
amounts or units are accumulated into
the pool to be allocated.

Company The company number represents an
established company and is entered on
all function codes.

Accounting Unit This is the accounting unit for which
amounts and units are accumulated into
the pool to be allocated.
PDL-ACCOUNT Numeric 6
Account This field along with the accounting
unit and subaccount make up the location
(account) where amounts and other
account information is stored.
PDL-SUB-ACCOUNT Numeric 4 AC130
Subaccount This is the subaccount for which
amounts or units are accumulated into
the pool to be allocated.
PDL-POOL-AMT Signed 15.2 AC130
Pool Amount This is the amount to be allocated.
