SLSEGMENT FILE
PL User Analysis
The Strategic Ledger User Analysis (SLSEGMENT) file stores user analysis
information, including the user analysis name, description, data type, data
size, and status defined in SL00.2 (Define User Analysis).
You cannot delete a user analysis that is assigned to a user analysis group in
SL01.1 (User Analysis Group).

User Analysis The name that identifies the user
analysis.
A user analysis is a flexible,
user-defined element, much like an
accounting unit, account, or attribute,
that stores transaction information you
can use for reports and analysis.
You can use a user analysis to track
multiple elements of business data.

User Analysis The description of the user analysis.

SEG-DATA-TYPE Alpha 1
Data Type The Data Type determines the type used
to define the user analysis value.
Values are AlphaNumeric (both letters
and numbers), Numeric (numbers only), or
Date (yyyymmdd, mmddyy, or mm/dd//yy).
A = Alpha
N = Numeric
D = Date
SEG-SIZE Numeric 2
Field Size The field size, or number of characters
used to represent user analysis values.
Alpha Numeric cannot exceed 32
characters, Numeric cannot exceed 30
characters, and Date cannot exceed 8
characters.
Once values are defined for the user
analysis, the field size cannot be
changed.
SEG-VALIDATE-FLAG Alpha 1
Validate This validates that user analysis
values defined in SL00.1 (User Analysis
Values) are valid when used in SL02.1
(User Analysis Values Relation). The
default is Yes, which validates values.
If No, all values pass.
