AM07.3 - Location Detail
**Form Purpose
Use Location Detail (AM07.3) to add location detail information for a
location defined on Location (AM07.1) or Locations (AM07.3). The location
detail consists of the three location detail level fields. These fields are
concatenated into scannable bar codes used for inventory purposes.
**Process at a Glance
1. Enter the location details for the location using this form.
2. Print the Location Workbook, using Location Listing (AM207).
3. Print the bar code labels, using Asset Bar Code Labels (AM153).
**More Information
You must specify the number of character for each level in the Dtl (Detail)
Field Size. The three levels added up cannot exceed 14 characters, and each
level must stay within the character constraints assigned to it for the
location.
You do not have to enter a value for all three location detail levels, but
you must respect the hierarchy: You cannot have a level 2 location level
without a level 1 location level, and you cannot have a level 3 location level
without a level 1 and level 2 location level. To produce a location detail bar
code, you must have at least a level 1 location level.
A single location can have several location details. For example, location
SAINT PAUL could have the following location details and many more:
Level 1 Level 2 Level 3
CORP FL2 RM201
CORP FL4 RM401
CORP FL4 RM405
