PA302 - Position Purge
**Form Purpose
Run Position Purge (PA302) to purge position information. This information
includes positions, user fields, and position history.
This program does not delete employee records.
Warning This program permanently deletes data. Before you run this program,
back up your data according to your organization's procedures. Before you
submit the report, carefully review the parameters.
**Processing Effect
Position records are purged according to their effective dates. If an
effective date does not fall within the dates you enter, those records are not
purged.
A position record cannot be purged if the record is currently used by
- an open requisition,
- an employee with no end date on the position record, or
- a current action that changes position fields.
You can create a comma-separated value (CSV) file that contains the purged
information. This information can be reloaded with PA502 (Position
Conversion).
