AR198 - Transaction Status Update
**Form Purpose
Run Transaction Status Update (AR198) to update the transaction status of
records. AR198 works in conjunction with Period Closing Report (AR199).
**Processing Effect
Fully applied open items, payments, credits, and applications that have been
processed by the number of period closings as specified by the value of the
History Update Periods field on the Process form tab of Company (AR01.1),
become permanently historical. For more information, see the field help for
History Update Periods in AR01.1.
You can decide whether to run AR198 and AR199 concurrently or separately. For
example, to save on processing time during month end closing you can choose to
run AR198 after you finish your month end closing.
