IA04.1 - Member Definition
Welcome to Member Definition
Use Member Definition (IA04.1) to define member information including the
dimension to which it belongs, the parent member name, the default alias name,
and how the member will be calculated. You can also access the Member
Maintenance subform from this subform.

1. (YOU ARE HERE) Add a member definition
2. Specify a fixed member name
3. Assign UDA values to members
4. Map locales and alias tables
** Field Descriptions
Member Name Type or select the member name that you want to add or modify.
Dimension Name Type or select the dimension name that you want to associate
with the member.
Parent Name Type the member parent name.
Default Alias Name Type a default alias name.
Dynamic Calculation: Type or select the value that determines how the member
is calculated.
Blank (Calculated) - The member data is calculated during the data mart load.
S (Calculated and Stored) - The member data is not calculated during the data
mart load. Rather, the member is calculated the first time a user queries the
data mart using end-user analytical tools, such as e-ScoreCard. Once the
member is queried, it is stored. The next time the member is queried, the
stored calculation is accessed.
F (Calculated on the Fly) - The member data is not calculated during the data
mart load. The member is calculated each time the member is queried by the
end-user.
