BN02.1 - Age Rate Table
Use Age Rate Table (BN02.1) to define contribution amounts based on
age.
**Processing Effect
The application calculates the contribution using either an amount or
percent.
**More Information
When you assign a rate table to a benefit plan's contribution record,
the rate table's start date must match the start date of the contribution
record.
You can use age rate tables for employee, COBRA participant, and retiree
contributions.
You can assign age rate tables to contributions in the following forms:
- BN18.2 (Options Amount Range),
- BN18.3 (Flat Contribution), and
- BN18.4 (Salary or Coverage Rate Table).

Use Credits Rate Table (BN02.4) to define the number of flex credits
employees receive based on their number of dependents or their lifestyle
points.
**More Information
When you assign a rate table to a flex dollar record, the rate table's
start date must match the start date of the flex dollar record.
An employee's number of dependents and lifestyle points are defined
in the Benefits form tab of HR11.1 (Employee).
You assign credit rate tables to flex plans in the Dependents Credits
and Lifestyle Credits subforms of BN08.1 (Flex Credits).

Use Coverage Reduction Table (BN02.5) to define how coverage reduces
as plan participants get older.
**Processing Effect
If the plan specifies both a percent and an amount reduction, the application
uses the greater of the two.

rate table's start date must match the start date of the coverage record.
You assign coverage reduction tables to coverage records in the Coverage
Limits subform of BN17.3 (Coverage Amounts).
