ET08.1 - Vendor Class Export Selection
**Form Purpose
Use Vendor Class Export Selection (ET08.1) to select vendor classes to be
exported to the Services Automation, Time Management, or Expense Management
application. All vendors assigned to the selected classes will uploaded to the
Services Automation, Time Management, or Expense Management application and
identified as vendors or consultant companies.
**Procedure
To select vendor classes:
1. Select a vendor group and use the Inquire action to display all the
classes in a group.
2. Select the classes you want to export
3. If applicable (Time Management or Expense Management configurations
only), select the T&E consultant group to associate with the classes you
select.
4. Save the form.
**Processing results
If your configuration is Services Automation, the vendors for the selected
vendor classes are created as vendors in the Vendor Management region. You can
define consultants for the vendors in the Vendor Management region.
If your configuration is Time Management or Expense Management the vendors
for the selected vendor classes are stored in ETRESOURCE and flagged as
consultants and associated with the Consultant Group you selected in the T&E
group for the vendor class. You must then define a user account for these
consultants so they can report their time and/or expenses.
**TIP
When interfacing with Time Management and/or Expense Management, the
consultants are actually defined as vendors in Accounts Payable. You must
define a vendor class for the vendor company itself (for example, Acme
Consulting). Then define another vendor class in the same vendor group that
includes the actual consultants (subontracted resources) defined as the
vendors for that vendor class. Assign the vendor company as a pay vendor to
all the consultants (vendors) in that vendor class.
