We have not to my knowledge and we did not at the time that we first encountered our problem.
Infor also suggested HR156 (running one group at a time) when we opened the case with them back in November. Our current version of HREMPGRP70 is 62.1.1. During initial analysis, before we became aware of the threshold of 800 groups being the cause, they recommended that we apply CTP 91239 contained in KB1352790 to move us to version 62.1.2.1.9. Shortly after becoming aware of the threshold, we deleted the large group mentioned in my first post and everything was working ok in HR11 for new hires for about a week. When we contacted them again, Infor then recommended that we move to the newer version of HR55PD (33.1.1) delivered by KB 1333171, CTP 87989 in addition to honoring the threshold going forward.
We have not refreshed our Test environment in a while. Currently we have 798 groups for Company 10 in PERSGROUP and 56 for Company 20 for a total of 854 groups.
There is also a KB 1469732, CTP 98964 (JT-545734) for 9.0.1 release that deals with expanding employee group updating capacity for HR156.
Would we need to apply either of these CTPs to get the 2000 group capacity? Looking at our current version of HRGRPWS 17 in /lsfp1/law/productline/hrsrc/hrwslib it appears to already reference a value of 2000 for Max-Group-HR-156.
Also, I'm wondering if HR156 would be a long-term solution for us since it is recommended that it be run by individual group which sounds cumbersome. If it could be then I suppose we could refresh our Test environment and play around with this some and apply any CTPs (if necessary) at that time.
Sorry for the information overload.
Will do. Thanks for the suggestions.
Also, I did fail to mention. Although we did not run HR156, we did run HR155 (wide open even though it is not recommended to do so) in our Test environment back in November. It did populate the employee groups but the job took 12 hours to complete. Quite intensive due to the amount of data.
