We migrated from a IBM P5 to IBM P7 server and COPIED the AIX and lawson environments - no reinstallation of anything.

All is well EXCEPT we experience slow response the 1st time we interact with lawson commands, jobschd, latm, lashow. etc.

Is there a way to recompile or relink $GENDIR/bin components without reinstalling?

They should not need recompiling.  They're already executable.
We recently did the same hardware upgrade and copied everything.  I just had to reinstall the COBOL compiler and also the license file for BSI Tax Factory.

Forgot to add - after installing the COBOL compiler, do a "cmprts" command.
And if you have BSI, run "cmptfxora9" (for BSI 9) or "cmptfxora8" (for BSI 8)

Judy, how did you resolve the slow response?
